Daniel Koval

"Freediving is a lifestyle to me not just a sport and I would love to share my knowledge that I have been taught and gained over my years of freediving. Not only will I teach you to dive deeper, safer, and longer but I also want you to come home to your families and to enjoy freediving in confidence. And most importantly to have fun while freediving."

Daniel is the top FII multilevel freediving instructor in Hawaii year round and instructs the Kona Freediving camp side by side with world record holder Martin Stepanek. He has been teaching in Hawaii for the last 5 years full time and has certified hundreds and hundreds of students.

Daniel is on Subcrafts freediving Team and can dive to depths to over 270 feet on a single breath of air and is currently one of the deepest freedivers in the United States. Daniel started to freedive and spearfish at 12 years old. If you are interested in spearfishing I am sure he has a couple tips up his sleeve he can share as he can shoot fish over 40m/132ft.

Check out Daniel's freedive during the 2016 Caribbean freediving cup where he descends to 83m/ 273ft on a single breath of air.

Daniel is certified, insured, and accredited by Freediving Instructors International (FII) and was personally taught by world record holder and owner of FII Martin Stepanek.
